This year's health challenge is going to be point based and give you the chance to earn over $1000 in prizes!

The entire challenge will last for 6 weeks, and will have various goals; some of which will be static through the entire challenge, and some that will change weekly. This will culminate in an optional in-house partner CrossFit competition.

How will points be earned?

Logging your score in SugarWOD: 1 point per day (maximum of 6 per week)

Sticking to your nutrition plan: 1 point per day 

100 oz. of water: 1 point per day 

Weekly movement challenges: 10 points per week (1000 reps)

Weekly clinic attendance (virtual or in-person): 5 points per week

CrossFit Empyrean tagged in ONE social media post: 5 points per week

CrossFit judges course passed: 5 points (cost reimbursed by the gym)

CrossFit Open sign-up: 10 points for sign-up

Winter Classic sign-up/participation (in-house competition): 10 points

Non-member challenge referral: 20 points

ALL POINTS WILL BE VERIFIED BY YOUR COACH EACH WEEK

At the beginning of the challenge, we will be completing 3 different benchmark workouts. These will be retested at the end of the 6 weeks, and we will have specific training to make improvements one each of these benchmarks. These benchmarks will be the following:

1RM Bench Press

"Ellen" (3 rounds of 20 burpees, 21 DB snatches, and 12 DB thrusters)

100 Cal Echo Bike for time

There will also be weekly clinics on health and fitness topics taught by local experts and your amazing coaches. These clinics will include:

Nutrition for Destroying Goals

Olympic Lifting to Look Cool and GET GAINS

Training for RESULTS

Functional Fitness Foundations (Triple F!)

and TWO Skills Classes where we work on 2-3 skills voted on by YOU!

Pricing for CrossFit Empyrean members will be a flat $50.

Pricing for non-members is a flat $100, and includes a full membership to the gym for the entirety of the 6 week challenge!
